Position Overview

Come work for one of the fastest-growing painting companies in the Washington DC Metro area. We are seeking skilled, reliable, and professional Painters with experience in drywall repair and light carpentry. This role includes preparing surfaces, completing minor repairs, and delivering high-quality finishes on residential and commercial projects. Ideal candidates take pride in craftsmanship, work efficiently, and communicate well with team members and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Surface Preparation

  • Clean, sand, repair, and prime surfaces

  • Remove old paint, patch drywall, and caulk gaps

  • Mask and protect floors, fixtures, and surrounding areas

Drywall Repair Responsibilities

  • Patch holes, cracks, and damaged drywall panels

  • Install new drywall for small repairs or replacements

  • Tape, mud, skim, and sand surfaces to a smooth Level-4/5 finish

  • Repair corner beads, nail pops, and joint cracks

  • Blend repairs seamlessly into surrounding surfaces

Light Carpentry Responsibilities

  • Replace or repair trim, baseboards, doors, molding, and casing

  • Install new trim and millwork where needed

  • Repair minor wood rot or damaged wood components

  • Remove and reinstall items such as window/door trim for proper painting

  • Perform minor framing or backing for patch areas when needed

Painting & Finishing

  • Apply paint, stain, epoxy, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers

  • Ensure consistent coverage, sharp lines, and professional-grade finish

Job Site Execution

  • Follow project scopes, schedules, and quality standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the project

  • Inspect completed work and correct imperfections when needed

  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times including ladder safety.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Collaborate with crew leads, estimators, and project managers

  • Communicate progress, issues, and material needs promptly

  • Represent the company with professionalism and respect

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3+ years of professional painting experience (interior, exterior, or both)

  • Strong understanding of surface prep and coating systems

  • Ability to use ladders, lifts, and basic painting tools safely

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on feet for extended periods

  • Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
